Blij verrast was ik toen ik het kookboek Simple Pleasures<\/strong> van Annabel Langbein op mijn deurmat vond. Ik had al eens gekookt uit de Free Range Cook. Ik was blij verrast om op de cover het servies te ontdekken, dat ik in Gereons Sea Spot ook gebruik. Het boek opent een heel scala aan mogelijkheden. Idee\u00ebn voor \u00a0een oogstfeestje met gerechten voor tijdens de perenpluk in Brabant. Een maaltijd aan zee op het strand. Mogelijkheden ten over. Ik ga het allemaal doen.<\/p>\n

Het kookboek Simple Pleasures<\/strong> is een kookboek vol heerlijke en eenvoudige recepten. Het boek prikkelt je zintuigen. Je krijgt meteen zin om aan de slag te gaan. Misschien is dit wel het aanstekelijke aan de stijl van Annabel. Nooit moeilijk, met verse seizoensingredi\u00ebnten. Daar draait het om. Annabel geeft ook tips voor menu’s, voor feestjes voor dinertjes. In die zin is het voor de wat luiere kok een erg goed boek. Hup aan de slag met je ingredi\u00ebnten. Simpeler kan een plezierige maaltijd niet zijn.<\/p>\n

Ik maakte onder andere een boerenlunch van een gepocheerde kipsalade (blz.\u00a0131 en 137), een saffraan\/spinazierisotto (blz.86) en toe een tarte tatin. (blz 252). Voor dit dessert had ik geen appels voor handen, maar peren genoeg. Het is tenslotte herfst aan het worden. En wat voor \u00e9\u00e9n met al deze geneugten!<\/p>\n
