Ik zag dat de salieplant op mijn balkon nog vol groen blad zit. Salie (salvia officinalis) is een plant die veel als kruid in de Italiaanse keuken wordt gebruikt. De Romeinen noemde de salie een heilige plant en schreven het kruid allerlei eigenschappen toe. Salie was gewijd aan Jupiter. Je mocht het als Romein dan ook niet zomaar plukken. Salie betekende voor de Romeinen gezondheid. En een lang leven. En die zweem is altijd om dit kruid blijven hangen. Getuige de vele legenden en toepassingen in de eeuwen die volgden tot heden.<br \/>\nMaar salie is ook een kruid, dat eenmaal geplukt en licht gebakken in roomboter een hele simpele, maar o zo kruidige spaghetti maakt. Ideaal voor een Easy Saturday. We drinken er een glas witte M\u00e2con Uchizy van Rapha\u00ebl Sallet bij<\/p>\n<p>Nodig 4 personen:<\/p>\n<p>500 g spaghetti<br \/>\n20 blaadjes salie<br \/>\nflinke klont boter (100 g)<br \/>\n2 tenen knoflook<br \/>\nzwarte peper uit de molen<br \/>\nzout<br \/>\nstukje Parmezaanse kaas om te raspen<\/p>\n<p>Bereiding:<\/p>\n<p>Hak de knoflooktenen heel fijn. Scheur de salieblaadjes in kleine stukjes. Smelt de boter in een klein steelpannetje. Voeg de knoflook en salieblaadjes toe. Laat het geheel op laag vuur 15 minuten trekken. (let wel op dat de boter niet verbrandt.) \u00a0Kook ondertussen de spaghetti als dente. Giet de spaghetti af en bewaar wat kookvocht. Maak de salieboter op smaak met wat peper uit molen en zout. Meng de salieboter door de spaghetti en voeg eventueel nog wat kookvocht toe. Serveer direct op borden.
